DeutschAirport tours – a glimpse behind the scenes
Bremen Airport offers an exciting airport tour every first Sunday of the month at 10.00 am, which is open to everybody (advance registration necessary – see below), and an airport tour for your group on an individually requested date.
Get to know Bremen Airport better during a professional guided tour spanning 1.5 to 2 hours, which offers you the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and find out what usually remains a mystery to other people, even flight guests.
The meeting point for our guided tours is the information point (car park desk) in Terminal 1.
To begin with, the model of the airport will give you an overview of the total area of the approx. 340-hectare airport, runways, taxiways, aprons (parking spaces), hangars, lighting and more.
You will also be provided with interesting facts about the history of aviation in Bremen, which spans more than 100 years. After the ensuing security control (the same procedure you are familiar with from flying), you will set off on a roundtrip of the airport grounds and will experience up close, dependent on current air traffic, the procedure involved in take-off, landing, taxing, refueling, the “follow me” car, pushback of large aircraft and watch the airport fire brigade during an exercise.
Let yourself be entertained as we take you into the world of aviation and aerospace, in which Bremen plays a decisive role. Let yourself be surprised by the sheer amount of things you will find do not exist at any other European airport in this combination and/or concentration.
Your excursion at Bremen Airport will almost always be concluded by a visit to the Bremen Hall – an aviation and aerospace gallery.
